Bridge

The project Rondweg Houten concerns the construction of a bicycle and pedestrian bridge connecting Houten-North and the recreational area Parkland Wulven that is currently in development. Both the bridge and the recreational area are part of the 3D model.

Virtual

"The choice to use the Virtual Scale Model was made to present the plans to the citizens in a clear way", says Eugene Wiss, Project Leader at the Municipality of Houten. "After getting acquainted with the Virtual Scale Model on a sales event of appartments in Houten and a presentation at the city hall, we understood the added value of the Virtual Scale Model for presenting spatial plans."

Design

"The Virtual Scale Model has definitely provided additional insight in the design. The fun part is that while we initially only wanted to inform citizens about the plans, looking at the presentation also provided us a better understanding of the project ourselves. Because of that you can correct flaws, whether small or big, before they have to be fixed at additional cost, for example during construction."

Citizens

"The Virtual Scale Model has proven it's value towards citizens. It offered a clear view from every perspective on the plans. A positive sidenote is that such spectacle gets you on the good side of the audience, especially because they recognize their own habitat. You will even acquire the benevolence of people opposed to the plans."
